Project Description:
StandUp For Kids takes our fight against homelessness to the streets every day, but we need a place of safety to welcome kids into and begin the process of transformation. Our Los Angeles chapter has opened that kind of place - an outreach center designed to provide a safe place for our kids on the L.A. Streets to receive transformative services. It costs us $2,500 a month to make it work. Your gift of $10 will give a child a place that provides services, hope and love.
Project Background:
Right now, all across America, more than 1.7 million youth are living on the streets which is hard for anyone, but for a kid, it represents the loss of a childhood – the chance to grow up with the promise of a future. Fear turns to pain and then to desperation, and then, sooner or later – resignation.
StandUp For Kids takes our fight against that resignation to the streets every day through our outreach counselors and our outreach centers.
